HOUSE AT THE LAKE

Upon arriving at "Het Scandinavische Dorp," drive past the restaurant and continue until you reach a gate. Park your car in the parking lot on your left-hand side (you can retrieve it later). Walk past the barrier and take the first right onto "Laarman pad." You will see a brown wooden door with a code lock. Enter the 4-digit code you received in our welcome email. If it doesn't work, press "C" to clear the code and try again. After entering, turn left. The house is located at the end of the path to your left.

• There is a keypad next to the door. Use the code you received from Airbnb to open the door.
• On the coffee table inside, you'll find a keycard. This keycard opens the barrier you passed after parking your car.
• Drive through the barrier and turn right at the roundabout. You can park for free here.

3 PM. If you wish for an early arrival, don't hesitate to get in touch with us for the possibilities.

The “North West Corner” is a quiet bay and a beautiful hideaway.
Please do:

• As we are from Norway, we kindly ask you to remove your shoes upon entering.
  
• Please note that our house is non-smoking, and we strictly enforce a no-pets policy.
  
• Please respect other guests and visitors in the bay area.
  
• In accordance with bay rules, please refrain from making loud noise, playing loud music, or hosting parties.
  
• If you notice any damage, please report it immediately.

Clean sheets and blankets for the beds

Bathroom

Bath towels and a conditioner/shampoo/soap dispenser. Please help our environment by avoiding the use of unnecessary towels - only use what you need!

Kitchen

Coffee, assorted tea, regular sugar, salt and basic condiments

Water

The tap water in the Netherlands is world renowned for its high quality and delicious freshness. Tap water is safe to drink and is even better than bottled water. You do not have to buy bottles of water. Save our environment, drink tap water.

There is warm/hot water in the shower.

Fridge/freezer

You should not need to adjust any settings. If you run into any difficulties (e.g. it's not cooling effectively), please let us know.

Television

The TV is not connected to the local cable provider. We have one remote. Its a "smart" TV. You can cast through the chromecast or use the available smart TV apps.

Grill/bbq

It is located in the shed. Feel free to use it to prepare your delicious grilled meals.
We appreciate it if you clean the grill and utensils after use.

Boats

We have two kayaks available, and the paddles are stored in the shed. Additionally, we offer a couple of boats for rent, including both sailing and motor options. Please feel free to contact us for more details.

Lounge set and dinber table

Please remember to cover the lounge set and diner table whenever you leave and every night with the provided rain cover, to protect it from occasional unpredictable rain showers.

Quiet Times

As we all value tranquility, we kindly ask you to join us in maintaining a peaceful environment for everyone. Please keep the volume of radios and TVs moderate, ensure your conversations remain private, and be considerate of others while moving around the property. We ask that you respect other guests and neighbors. Thank you for your cooperation.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed inside. You can smoke outside, we appreciate not throwing cigarette butts in the yard.

Pets

The house has a strict no pet policy

Garbage Collection

All garbage must be placed in a plastic bag and securely tied shut before disposal.

You can dispose of garbage bags in the bins located outside, to your right-hand side upon entering the bay area. The bins are emptied every Monday and Thursday morning.

Toilet

Please only flush human waste and toilet paper (in small quantities). Do not flush no feminine products, wipes, tissues, or birth control materials.

Let us know

Please let us know right away about any problems you have during your stay. We do our best to keep on top of everything, but sometimes things pop up. With input from our guests, we can keep everything running in tip top shape. If it can be fixed right away it will, if it can’t, we will do everything in our power to get it fixed as quickly possible.

If something isn't working for you, please let us know right away as well. It's the worst feeling for us to find out at the end of your stay that you had an issue that we could have helped with, but we're unaware of.

Feel free to knock on our door or talk to us when you see us to address any issues.

Breakages

We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything, please let us know immediately - if it's minor thing, we usually won't charge you for it. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!), we would like to agree with you on the replacement cost before you leave, to avoid any issues later. Thank you!

On the shelve in the bathroom

When you leave, please ensure the following simple tasks are done:

• take the rubbish out to the bins (just inside the entrance top the bay), make sure all is thrown in a plastic bag which is tighten firmly
• turn off all lights
• turn down the floor heating to 16 degrees
• turn down the aircondionar to 18 degrees
• put all used linens in the laundry basket in front of the washer
• please put the raincover over the ouside couch lounge set
• please put the raincover over the ouside diiner table
• turn on the dishwasher if needed
• leave the keycard on the kitchen counter
• feel free to write your experience in the guestbook
• make sure to just close the door behind you (the maid will arrive soon)
